Each June, we provide approximately 30 children with the opportunity to attend Kamp Kiwanis in Vanderwagen, New Mexico, for a five-day overnight camping adventure. Now entering its 16th year, Kamp Kiwanis is hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Corrales and is fully organized, funded, and staffed by dedicated club volunteers.

Nestled in the beautiful Zuni Mountains, 20 miles south of Gallup, the camp gives children the opportunity to experience the outdoors while participating in arts and crafts, sports, nature activities, campfires, and team-building challenges, while incorporating Science, Technology, Engineering,  and Math. The camp’s mission is to bring children together through shared adventures and plenty of fun in a natural setting.

Beyond the fun and adventure, Kamp Kiwanis helps campers build confidence, develop new skills, form friendships, and discover what they can accomplish. It’s a meaningful experience that can create lasting memories and make a difference long after the children return home.
